CORTLANDT POLICE BLOTTER
Friday, Dec. 7 – 8:46 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Marshall’s in the Cortlandt Town Center due to an escalating dispute between a store employee and two shoppers. The situation was defused when an officer arrived.

Wednesday, Dec. 5 – 7 p.m. – Westchester County Police Officer Matt Cohn arrested two persons at Kohl’s department store on Route 6 after they were detained by store security and accused of shoplifting. An 18-year-old Bronx man and a 40-year-old Peekskill woman were charged with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. They are accused of trying to steal $134 worth of clothing.

1:30 p.m. – Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly arrested two Peekskill woman at Kohl’s department store on Route 6 after they were detained by store security and accused of shoplifting. A 22-year-old Howard Street resident and 51-year-old Crompond Road resident are accused of trying to steal $553 worth of merchandise.

Tuesday, Dec. 4 – 11:10 a.m. – A resident of Mohegan Lake reported that 30 pieces of sheetrock were missing from his garage. A patrol officer took a report and turned the investigation over to detectives from the county police General Investigations Unit.

Monday, Dec. 3 – 5:43 p.m. – A resident of Verplanck reported to Westchester County Police that he has been receiving unwanted text messages from a family member. Both parties are currently involved in a proceeding in Westchester County Family Court.
