Cortlandt Delays Opening Of Charles J. Cook Pool
Town officials said a leak was discovered while the pool was being filled.
CORTLANDT, NY — The opening of the Charles J. Cook Pool will be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
A news release from the town of Cortlandt Thursday said the pool will not be usable until Saturday, June 11.
Town officials said the facility was supposed to open Saturday, but after weeks of repairing and upgrading the filtration system, the power washing and painting, a crucial leak was discovered while the pool was being filled.

The town's Department of Environmental Services staff have been working diligently to address the issue and plan to have the pool open June. 11 with hours of operation 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The pool will be open weekends only through June 19.

For the five weekdays beginning June 20 through June 24, the operating hours will be noon to 7 p.m.
Officials said the pool will be open full time beginning Saturday, June 25.
