Cortlandt Has Opening For Seasonal Laborer

CORTLANDT, NY — The town of Cortlandt has a job opening for a seasonal laborer position.

The temporary, four-month position requires someone physically able to perform manual labor tasks requiring heavy lifting — up to 75 pounds — and standing for long periods of time.

Work assignments will be outdoors regardless of weather conditions, officials said.

Applicants must be able to pass a physical agility test and have a valid New York driver's license and a clean driver's abstract. A pre-employment drug test will be required.

The position pays $18 an hour; there are no benefits.

Applications, which will be accepted until June 3, can also be picked up at Town Hall – Human Resources, 1 Heady St. in Cortlandt Manor. Town of Cortlandt residents are preferred.
