Cortlandt Manor Resident Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown

Police said the man had a blood-alcohol content more than two times the legal limit.

CORTLANDT MANOR, NY — A northern Westchester resident was accused of driving in Yorktown while drunk.

The Yorktown Police Department said James Quinn, 36, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent and driving while intoxicated, first offense, both misdemeanors, along with two counts of failed to use designated lane and other traffic infractions.

Police said, around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, an officer on Route 6 said he saw a vehicle that failed to use its designated lane multiple times.

A traffic stop found Quinn was the driver, and police said he was operating his vehicle while intoxicated.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing, where it was found he had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, police said.

Quinn was issued traffic tickets and released to a responsible adult. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 19.
