Cortlandt Manor Woman Arrested for Grand Larceny

The suspect stole more than $22,000 worth of jewelry, police said.

New York State Police arrested a woman following their investigation in to the theft of more than $22,000 worth of jewelry from a Cortlandt Manor home. Investigators found a number of the stolen items in jewelry stores and pawn shops in Dutchess and Westchester counties, which led them to identify Judith A. Hickey as the alleged perpetrator. Hickey, a 47-year-old Corlandt Manor resident, was arrested on Dec. 23 and held for $1500 bail by New York State Police on Dec. 23. She is due to reappear Friday, December 30, 2011, at 9 a.m., in the Town of Cortlandt Court.

Investigation in the thefts continues and additional charges are pending.

The arrest was made by Investigator Sean J. Morgan of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
