Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi told board members at a work session this week that she is opposed to the , according to an article by The Examiner's Rick Pezzullo. Puglisi said the 160,000 square foot supercenter with 750 parking spaces would be too big and would cause too many traffic issues. Board members John Sloan and Frank Farrell echoed her concerns. Board member Ann Lindau did not state her position and noted that without Walmart the Town won't get sewers installed in that area or get a traffic light installed at Baker Street, Pezzullo reports.

The developer hoping to bring the supercenter to the lot, Westrock Development, has not officially submitted an application at this point.
