County Prisoner Charged with Selling Coke to Undercover Cop

County Prisoner Charged with Selling Coke to Undercover Cop

A 48-year-old Peekskill man who is in Westchester County Jail on an unrelated charge, was additionally charged with three counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, for selling powered cocaine to an undercover police officer on multiple occasions. Detectives Joe McGann and Anthony Malfitano charged te county prisoner, Gordon Smith, following an eight month investigation conducted jointly with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Smith was arraigned in Peekskill City Court and returned to the Westchester County Jail.

Croton Resident Arrested for Heroin

Officers Mat Basso and Jack Galusha were working anti-crime on May 9 when they stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation on the 800 block of South Street. They found the passenger, James Meyer, a 55-year-old Croton resident, in possession of a small quantity of heroin. He was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and taken into custody and held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.
