Criminal Trespassing at a Preschool, Dog Poop Dispute

Criminal Trespass at a Preschool
Friday, Nov.25 -- 12:44 p.m. – Michael Esposito, 50, of Lake Drive, Lake Peekskill, was arrested by Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, both misdemeanors, and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a felony.

Esposito was observed by Kelly walking around the perimeter of and looking into the windows of the International Preschool at 1050 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, while the school was closed. When Esposito was approached, he did not have a valid reason for being on the school grounds.

Esposito was placed under arrest on the criminal trespass charge and for having an altered New York State inspection sticker displayed on the windshield of his vehicle. A driver's license check showed him to have been operating the vehicle while his license was both revoked and suspended as well as being the subject of an active bench warrant issued by Westchester County Police in 2009 for failing to appear in court regarding unrelated traffic charges.

Esposito was issued multiple summonses for traffic violations and upon arraignment was remanded to Westchester County Jail pending an appearance in Cortlandt Town Court.

Dog Poop Dispute

Sunday, Nov. 27 – 11:46 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Chardonny Road on a report of a dispute between two neighbors. A homeowner said he confronted his neighbor and an argument ensued because the neighbor’s dog has been regularly defecating on his lawn.

Driving with Revoked License
Saturday, Nov. 26 – 11:08 a.m. --  Benny Johnson, 46, of Spring Valley was arrested by Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly following a traffic stop on Locust Avenue at Route 6 on charges of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, and multiple outstanding warrants.

Johnson was stopped for failing to signal while making a left turn into the Mobil Gas Station on Rte 6 and a license check showed that he was operating his vehicle with a revoked driver's license. He also was wanted by Westchester County Police and Ramapo Town Police on three active warrants for failing to appear in court for various traffic and penal law offenses.

In addition, Johnson's vehicle was found to be displaying improper license plates and was unregistered, and uninsured. He was issued numerous summonses for those traffic offenses and was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne. He was then turned over to Ramapo Police.
