Walking with Stolen Walkie Talkies

1:33 p.m. – Frank Malaspina, 50, of Stevenson Avenue, Cortlandt, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, after security at alleged he left the store without paying for a pair of walkie-talkies. He was given a desk appearance ticket requiring him to appear in Cortlandt Town Court at a later date.

Burglar Alarm, No Sign of Forced Entry

8:40 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a burglar alarm on Conklin Avenue but there was no sign of forced entry at the residence. It appears that the homeowners’ pets may have caused the alarm to activate.

Friday, April 13  

Report that Homeless Made a Home Behind Morabito Center

11:09 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the Morabito Community Center on Westbrook Drive on a report that homeless persons might be living in a wooded area behind the center.  The woods were checked and no indications were found that persons have been living in the woods.

Cub Scouts Tour County Police North Command

12:11 p.m. – Some local Cub Scouts toured the Westchester County Police North Command precinct adjacent to Town Hall and met with county Police Officer Rob Kelly.

Neighborly Dispute on Townsend Road

1:17 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Townsend Road on a report of a verbal dispute between neighbors. Two homeowners advised that they are having a dispute over the property boundary as well as other issues.

Driver Hits Deer on Westbrook Drive

 Tuesday, April 10, 8:46 p.m. -- A Putnam Valley motorist struck a deer as it crossed Westbrook Drive. The driver was not hurt but his vehicle did sustain minor damage.

Lake Peekskill Woman Arrested for Coke and Pot

Friday, April 6 – 6:20 p.m. – Anne Dalton, 39, of Northway Lake Peekskill, was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Lockwood Road by county Police Officer Rob Kelly. Dalton was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree, a felony, and Unlawful Possession of marijuana, a violation, after she was found in possession of 1.4 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.
