Six Local New Year’s Eve Parties to Ring in 2012

Our suggestions on the best local parties to attend on New Year's Eve!

Local bars and restaurants around here are expert party-throwers all year long, but they have pulled out all the stops this year to make this New Year’s Eve one to remember. See our list below of places to go for your celebration. Click on the hyper-links to see address and phone numbers of each place.

New Year’s party will feature the eight-piece band Duchess Di and the Distractions. They will have a 5:30 p.m. seating where you can choose a la carte or prix fixe. Specials include pecan crusted pork tenderloin, surf & turf, oso buco and more. At the 8:30 p.m. seating you can enjoy a $95 prix fix menu (excludes tax and tip). If you want to enjoy the music only, cover is $25. Reservations are required.

The s hosting a party with a six-course prix fixe meal for $65 from 6 to 10 p.m. Prix-fixe tasting menu includes risotto, poached shrimp, poached sausage, pork roast, and chocolate truffles. The regular menu will also be available. From 10 to 12 a.m. they will be running happy hour prices at the bar and at midnight they will offer a complimentary beer toast.

The party will honor the music and style of the 90s with DJ Anthony L, starting at 10 p.m. They are offering a champagne toast at midnight as well. No cover charge.

The New Year’s Eve gala features a five-course dinner including filet mignon and stuffed shrimp Newburg as main courses. Open bar. Viennese table. Coffee, tea and pastries. DJ: Ricardo Music Productions. You must make special reservations to attend.

is giving away a Jeep Wrangler at its New Year’s Eve party. Enter to win now before the party and then join them for live music and a champagne toast at midnight. Call for reservations.

l is hosting a New Year's Eve prix fixe dinner for $48 per person, tax and service included. Open reservations from 5 to 9 p.m. Choose from their menu offering decadent celebratory entres like Lobster Bisque, shrimp creole and roasted duck. Doug Smith will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. The party starts at 10 p.m. with Tommy Dabs and A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That performing until 1:30 a.m. A light buffet and a cash bar will be available. There will also be a midnight champagne toast.
