Food/Coat Drives, Buy Wine at Dylan's, Peekskill Budget, Penguin Chicks

1. Buy Wine at Dylan’s Wine Shop

All week through Sunday the Peekskill Education Foundation will receive part of the profits of all wine sold at Dylan’s. Read more about it in Jim Knight’s latest blog. 

2. Special Work Session

The Peekskill City Council will meet at 7 p.m. to do the final review and wrap up of the 2012 budget proposal.

3.Penguin Chicks Blog

Over the next few weeks you can visit www.centralparkzoo.com/chicks to watch four gentoo and four chinstrap penguin chicks as they are raised by animal professionals at the Central Park Zoo. The blog launched yesterday and includes photos (chick pics), videos (chick flicks), and keeper interviews (chick lit) and updated continually for three weeks. Visitors can meet the chicks and their keepers, watch them grow, and see the painstaking care that goes into raising them.

4. More Food Drives, Multiple Locations

The HHHS Student Government is also hosting a food drive until Monday, Nov. 21. Drop off food at Hendrick Hudson High School. 

Also, the Cortlandt Rotary Club is doing their annual Coat & Food Drive for the VA Hospital Veterans with drop off sites at: Bagles on Hudson in Croton on Hudson, Rand Realty in Shrub Oak, Natures Window & Homequest Realty in Downtown Peekskill, Beldoro Jewelers in Mohegan, Transatlantic RV in Peekskill.

5. Peekskill Brewery Zeitgeist Berliner Weisse Release Party

The Peekskill Brewery is having a release party form 5 to 8 p.m. When you order the Zeitgeist you can be entered to win PB sweatshirts, growlers and more.
