1. Foster, Bennett, Talbot and Rigger Win Peekskill Election

About 4,000 Cortlandt residents turned out to vote for their incumbent Supervisor and Council members Dr. Richard Becker and Frank Farrell, who were unopposed.
Cortlandt’s incumbent Republican Justice Daniel McCarthy unofficially won the election against Democratic challenge Frank Priolo.

4. Father Higgins to Walk to NYC
To raise money for the Assumption Church, Father John Higgins will be walking from Peekskill’s Church of the Assumption for St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, and then to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. His goal is to offer a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.
The trip is part of a larger fundraising effort being undertaken by the Assumption School’s Advisory Board-- $105,000 for 105 Years of Assumption School (“105 for 105”).
