Four Arrested in Cortlandt Burglary May Be Tied to Other Break-Ins

Four local residents were arrested in connection to a burglary at Lexington Ave yesterday. Police are investigating whether they are tied to other burlgaries.

New York State Police arrested four local residents that they believe may be tied to multiple burlgaries for second-degree burglary of a Lexington Avenue home on Wednesday. At around 11:15 a.m. the police received a 911 call regarding a residential burglary in progress at 3479 Lexington Avenue in Cortlandt.

After recieving descriptions of the suspects and stolen items from witnesses police found the suspects and recovered the stolen electronic items. The suspects are:

Sheriffe A. Baker (23 years old) - 3195 e. Main Street, Cortlandt Manor

Elmetia Gibson (20 Years old) - 3230 Lexington Ave., Mohegan Lake

Rayshawn Sharrock (30 years old) - 807 Main Street, Peekskill

Leozy Culberson (32 years old) - 3489 Lexington Ave., Mohegan Lake

All four subjects were charged with one count of Burglary-2nd (Felony) and arraigned in the by Justice McCarthy.  They were all remanded to the Westchester County Jail and will reappear in the Cortlandt Justice Court on a later date. 

The NYSP is continuing the investigation into other possible burglaries committed by the subjects and are asking anyone with information regarding them to contact the NYSP Cortlandt BCI at 914-788-8044.
