Local Guide to Black Friday Shopping

The year’s biggest shopping holiday is only two days away. Get a head start on crafting your shopping strategy by checking out our Guide to Black Friday 2011 where you’ll find store hours and deals to die for.

Many stores will open on the night of Thanksgiving and have extended hours throughout the weekend and holiday shopping seasons. Some stores are holding out on advertising all their holiday weekend shopping deals, so make sure you check their website before the big day.

The Stores, The Hours, The Deals:

Old Navy, 131 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake: It’s Gobblepalooza again at Old Navy for three days starting on Thanksgiving. Doors open at midnight on Thanksgiving and stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday. Get kids and babies front-free winter jackets for $20 and adult jackets for $29; tops for $5, jeans and sweaters for $15 for the entire family. Click here for a coupon and more Old Navy deals.

Walmart, 3133 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake (Cortlandt Town Center): At 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and starts with the toys, home and apparel event. Event deals include: an Xbox 460 4GB with Kinect Console for $199.96 that comes with a $50 Walmart gift card; and DVDs starting at $1.96

At midnight the electronics event starts with deals like an LG Blu-ray Player for $49; or a 51” Samsung plasma TV for $498. Black Friday weekend deals start at 8 a.m. on Nov. 25 and include Goodyear Tires starting at $59 or a Vizio 42” 3D LED Wi-Fi HDTV for $598

Kohls, 3008 East Main St, Cortlandt Manor: Doors open at 12 a.m. Friday and the store is offering over 500 early bird specials on toys, electronics, house ware and more. Browse the deals here.

Best Buy, 3105 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake: Doors open at 12 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25. Start shopping Black Friday deals on Bestbuy.com on Thanksgiving Day. You will find deals on laptops, LCD tvs, tablets, games and more. Also check out their online only deals on their website.

Le Petite Spa, 1 Baltic Place, Croton-on-Hudson: Le Petite Spa will be open all day on Friday, Nov. 25 for spa services, as well as gift certificate and product purchases. Stop in from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to sample their new Bubalina organic body care line, featuring Cranberry Brown Sugar and Chocolate scrubs and lotions. Also, the spa will add an extra $10 value to any gift card purchase.
