Hendrick Hudson School district’s fundraising event is this Friday at 7 p.m. Make or bake something to bring as an entry fee and stay to watch it get auctioned off. You still have two days to come up with something good so get started! More info .
2.   BOCES Educated Palate is Open
Enjoy some student made food at BOCES student-run restaurant the Educated Palate. Reservations must be made a month in advance. The next luncheon is Feb. 9. Click for more information.
On Dec. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. the Town of Cortlandt will host a forum by Ecology and Environment with Blue Springs Energy. The event will highlight recently completed greenhouse gas emissions inventories for Cortlandt, Croton and Peekskill. Opportunities to reduce those emissions will be discussed as well.
4.   City of Peekskill Addresses Noise Complaints
The City of Peekskill has posted a notice inviting restaurant owners to meet and discuss noise ordinance as it pertains to music emanating from restaurants into the neighborhood on Dec. 14 from 3 to 4 p.m. in City Hall. 5.   Congratulations Peekskill Mercury
The Peekskill Mercury Newspaper turned two-years old last week. The newspaper is run by school Psychologist John Tosto and a group of students. Hudson River HealthCare has recently become its first official sponsor and the newspaper is looking for more sponsors. Read their blog post here.
