Man Charged with Heroin Sale While Already in Jail
A 27-year-old Peekskill man sold Heroin to an undercover police officer on multiple occasions near his home on the 600 block of Highland Avenue, police said. Following a six month long investigation conducted with the Westchseter County Department of Public Safety, Peekskill police charged the man, Phillip Guzman, who was already incarcerated for a parole violation, with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, both Class B Felonies, on April 16 at 1 p.m. at police headquarters. Guzman was remanded back to New York State Prison to finish out his Parole Violation.

Police Arrest Two Caught Smoking Crack on Washington Street
Peekskill police allegedly saw Jason Calabrese, 41, and Nicole Evans, 28, both Peekskill residents, smoking crack on the 600 block of Washington Street on April 12 at 12:10 a.m. and arrested them. Officer Matt Basso and Jack Galusha charged the two with possession of crack and loitering for the purposes of using narcartics. They were held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Two Bronx Residents Arrested for Assaulting Juveniles
Peekskill police arrested two young Bronx residents with third degree assault and resisting arrest, misdemeanors, on April 14 at 6 p.m. on Washington Street. Officers responding to a report of an altercation at the Laundromat on the 800 block of Washington Str. encountered a group fighting inside. Police charged one juvenile and Samantha Pinet, a 17-year-old Bronx resident, for assaulting two other juvenile victims. During the investigation, Pedro Vazquez, an 18-year-old Bronx resident, allegedly assaulted a third juvenile in front of the police and then fled. After a brief foot chase and struggle, Vasquez was taken into custody for resisting arrested and third degree assault.
Pinet and Vazquez were held for arraignment, the juvenile was issued an appearance ticket for Family Court.
Aggravated DWI
Carlos Suscal, a 31-year-old Peekskill resident was charged with DWI and Aggravated DWI after stricking several parked vehicles with his car on April 14 at 10:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of Park Street. Suscal was found to be operating while intoxicated after a chemical test determined his BAC to be .24%. Suscal was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court
