
Strangulation and Larceny
On Nov. 26 at 11:25 a.m. Curtis Coachman, 48, of Peekskill was charged with second degree strangulation, a Class D felony, third degree assault and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, at Stuhr Gardens by Officer Chris Colucci.
Coachman was charged after he became involved in a dispute with a neighbor which led to a physical altercation. During the altercation, Coachman choked the victim, and punched him numerous times. At the conclusion of the assault, Coachman took a telescope that belonged to the victim and had been left outside the victim’s home.          Â

The incident occurred on November 21st. Coachman was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

On Nov. 26 at 10 p.m. Gregory Legett, 53, of Peekskill, was charged with aggravated DWI on the 900 block of Main Street by officer Dan Labodin.
Leggett was stopped after being observed driving erratically on Main Street and subsequently arrested after it was determined he was driving while intoxicated. A chemical test determined Leggett’s BAC was .22% which led to the Aggravated DWI charge. Leggett was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Peekskill City Court on Dec. 1 at 11 a.m.
