In Need Of Food? Here's Where To Find It In Peekskill
It's not too late to take advantage of distribution sites in Peekskill that are offering free food to those in need.
PEEKSKILL, NY—As the coronavirus continues to put a financial strain on many families in Peeskill and surrounding area, several distribution sites have emerged in the community to lend a helping hand.
At these food distribution locations, people can show up and grab some food without paying a penny.

Wednesday, July 29
- Breakfast & Lunch “Grab and Go”
Oakside Elementary: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

High School: 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch "grab and go" bags will be served Monday - Friday to any Peekskill student to bring home. Distribution will take place in school building parking lots. Parents with students in multiple schools can get meals at one site. You will be asked to share the names of all of your school-aged children.

- Million Gallons: Food distribution to food service workers
La Factoria, 5 John Walsh Boulevard, Peekskill
Every Wednesday and Friday, 12 noon - 4 pm, Drive/walk-ins welcome!
Food workers may sign up to receive food benefits and notifications of dates, times and locations of free food distribution by registering at this website link. Participants should check status of free food events at this Instagram link.
- CHHOP/Fred’s Pantry
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 137 N. Division St., Peekskill Every Wednesday 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. & every Saturday, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
To make donations and to volunteer, call 914-736-2636 or Peekskill CHHOP. Fred’s Pantry is also providing groceries to food-insecure individuals and families in addition to their usual Saturday distribution at 8 a.m. Consider donating at www.chhop.org/donation.

The Neighborhood Center's Dining Room is closed to all program members until further notice. Homebound meal delivery service will continue as normally scheduled. Contact 914-734 - 4250 ext. 2 for more information.
