Peekskill Addresses Downtown Noise Concerns
The City of Peekskill and Police Department are hosting a meeting with restaurant owners to discuss the city's noise ordinance.

The City of Peekskill, in conjunction with the Police Department, has invited restaurant owners to meet and discuss the current noise ordinance as it pertains to music at their restaurants. The meeting comes as a response to complaints from residents within and near the city's business district.
The City posted the invitation for the Dec. 14 meeting on its website.
"Though the city recognizes the importance of its restaurants’ ability to provide entertainment, it has an obligation to balance this recognition with the concerns of the neighborhood being directly affected," the notice reads.Â
