1. Peekskill BOE to Discuss Staff Cuts

The Peekskill Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. in the Administration building. The discussion will provide more detail on the more than 21 positions scheduled for elimination.

2. Ball Announces Free Community BBQ

Senator Greg Ball will host a free community BBQ at Mount Olivet Baptist church this Sunday. The cookout will include a pig roast, jerk chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages. Read more here.

3. Get Your Passport at Cortlandt Town Hall

The County Clerk's office is bringing their mobile office to the Cortlandt Town Hall today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to issue passports. This may be the easiest way to get a passport. Read more here

4. Lakeland Board of Education to Adopt Budget

The Lakeland BOE will adopt its budget at its meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in the administration building.

5. Thunderstorms Possible

The National Weather Service forecasts a slight chance of thunderstorms after noon today. The day should be partly sunny with a high near 60 and winds between 9 and 15 mph. The low will drop to around 35 tonight and winds will slow to between 7 and 11 mph.
