Peekskill Woman Charged with DWI
Peekskill police charged 60-year-old Peekskill resident Eva Rem with DWI on Aug. 3 at 3:40 p.m. on the 1100 block of Main Street. Officer John Kolesar saw Rem behind the wheel of her car in a parking lot in that location while intoxicated, police report. Rem, who refused to submit to a chemical test to determine her BAC, was released on her own recognizance and is due to appear in Peekskill City Court at a later date.

Officers working anti-crime patrol stopped a vehicle that Lonnie Scott, a 41-year-old Peekskill resident, was a passenger in and saw him to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine on Aug. 2 at 9:35 p.m. on the 300 block of Nelson Ave. Officer Matt Basso placed him into custody and held him for arraignment in Peekskill City Court. Scott was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons for a vehicle and traffic offense and released from the scene.
