Peekskill Makes Me Merry

Well maybe not the one and only, but a Santa (or two or three) will surely appear during the December “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” Saturday events sponsored by the Peekskill Business Improvement District (“BID”).   

As the temperatures fall and winter approaches, why stay home?  Holidays are best enjoyed with others and the downtown streets of Peekskill will be lit up and ready for merry-making by young and old alike. 

So step aboard Stella, the historic Peekskill Trolley that will serve as your guide through the “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” celebration and join the fun.

“Peekskill Makes Me Merry” Saturdays will kick off on December 3^rd with the Downtown Tree-Lighting organized by the Peekskill Department of Parks & Recreation, along with hot-chocolate, Santa and the sounds of a gospel choir to raise the spirits. 

The Peekskill Pub & Eat Crawl will be held on Saturday December 17^th, a chance to join a merry band of revelers as they sip and taste their way across the excellent, crowded pubs and diverse restaurants of downtown. 

And that’s not all: Peekskill has more to offer you this holiday season. 

In the spirit of giving, participating Peekskill businesses, pubs and restaurants will offer a variety of “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” holiday promotions.  Your key to savings is simple: if you see a “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” poster in their storefront and you have a “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” button (only available at “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” Saturday events, Hudson River Healthcare, or the Chamber of Commerce), you unlock access to holiday discounts.  We’ve also heard rumors that some participating businesses may offer promotions to shoppers dressed as Santa, so you never know how many Santas you’ll see in Peekskill!  Just step inside, ask for details on savings and vote for the best-dressed holiday storefront while you’re at it.
