A Peekskill brother and sister were arrested last weekend after police attempted to arrest the brother and the sister interfered and then later spit in an officer’s face and violently resisted arrest, police said.
On Nov. 25 around 11:20 p.m. Officer Matt Basso saw Peekskill resident Hasseem Jenkins, 19, punch a 16-year-old male in the face on South Broad Street. Jenkins was part of a large group that was leaving a party at the Christopher Columbus Club.
Basso immediately attempted to take Jenkins into custody when his Jenkins sister Quantasia Jenkins, 21, interfered by pulling Basso and pushing him away from her brother.
