Peekskill’s Pub & Grub Crawl Sure to Make You Merry

Downtown Peekskill businesses are inviting the community to eat, drink and be merry (at discounted prices) this Saturday, Dec. 17 at Peekskill’s first Pub and Grub Crawl.

Seven different local businesses are participating in the event, which is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Revelers with a “Peekskill Makes Me Merry” button will enjoy discounts on food and drinks. (Pick up your button at the ) Anyone dressed as Santa may receive additional discounted drinks, so dress in your Christmas best.

And don’t worry about driving. To add to the merriment, Peekskill’s trolley Stella, who is all decked out for the occasion and plays holiday music, will be providing free transportation from stop to stop. Stella will be picking people up at 6:30 p.m. The crawl starts at 7 p.m. Buttons will be available on board.

There is a schedule (see below), but revelers are more than welcome to stay and enjoy the live entertainment offered at several spots. The will have guitarist Doug Munro who is releasing his new CD “A Very Gypsy Christmas.”  will be featuring Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf, a 10-piece band which plays a great mix of Motown, funk, Latin and swing.  And for those who might like to let loose on the dance floor, will have a dance party DJ.

The Crawl is part of the Peekskill Business Improvement District’s campaign, of which thirty downtown stores, restaurants and bars are taking part. It lasts through December 31.
