PHOTOS: Package Causes Bomb Scare In Hartsdale
A suspicious package on Central Park Ave. was investigated today, causing a bomb scare and tying up traffic. The scene was later cleared.
It was a false alarm that left Central Park Avenue in Hartsdale blocked off for about an hour today, causing traffic delays in both directions.
Due to a suspicious package reported by a passerby, Greenburgh Police and Fire departments, Westchester County Police, a SWAT team and Bomb Squad responded to the scene at 155 North Central Avenue in front of Montaage Furniture about 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

By about 12:00 p.m., the package was determined to be a store security sensor wrapped in foil and not a bomb threat. Traffic was reopened on Central Park Avenue.
