Police: Bronx Man Tries to Buy Oxycodone with Fake Prescription

Peeskill police arrested a 31-year-old Bronx resident Jarrod Hall for trying to buy180 tablets of Oxycodone with a fraudulent prescription on July 17 at 6:36 p.m., police report. Hall had dropped off a prescription at the at the Beach Shopping center. When he arrived to take possession of the painkillers he was taken into custody after being stopped by Peekskill Officer Basso. Hall was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; second degree forgery; first degree falsifying business records, all felonies. He was additionally charged fifth degree insurance fraud, a misdemeanor, after he paid for the prescription utilizing an insurance card under a false name. Hall was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.
