Police Bump into Peekskill Man During Arrest Warrant; Hold Him on Gun and Drug Charges

A Peekskill man wanted for felony drug sales was at the wrong place at the wrong time last week after police discovered him while executing an unrelated arrest warrant at a residence on Constant Avenue.
Jerome Reed, 24, of Peekskill, is scheduled to appear in city court Thursday after police arrested him and charged him with felony counts of drug possession, drug sales and criminal possession of a weapon.
On March 21, Peekskill narcotics officers conducted a search warrant at Constant Avenue and observed Reed, who was wanted on unrelated charges for possession and sales of hallucinogenic drugs. Police also said they recovered a semi-automatic handgun during the arrest.

Reed was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail.Â
Officers from state Parole and the U.S. Drug Task Force assisted Peekskill police with the investigation.
