Police: Cortlandt Man Damaged Windshield after Seeing Woman in Car with another Man
The Putnam County Sheriff's Officer arrested Jinsop E. Valdiviezo of in connection to a November incident in which he damaged a vehicle after spotting a former female acquaintance in the car with another man.

Jinsop E. Valdiviezo, 35, of Cortlandt, was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor count of menacing Tuesday in connection to an incident in which he smashed a car windshield with a rock in November.
On Nov. 26, deputies received a complaint from a resident of Mill Street in Putnam Valley that Valdiviezo had driven to his home and caused $1,500 worth of damage to his car.
The victim told police he was driving with a former female acquaintance of Valdiviez’s, when Valdiviez allegedly spotted them and tailed them to his home.

Valdiviezo allegedly got out of his vehicle, became irate and demanded that the pair exit the car. When the couple refused, Valdiviezo allegedly smashed the car’s windshield with a rock and caused other damage to the vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
Deputies got an arrest warrant for Valdiviezo and managed to get him in custody after he was tracked down in Croton-on-Hudson by local police. He was arraigned and sent to Putnam County Jail.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Valdiviezo, who is Ecuadoran, had been using the alias “Jason Lomas” and was staying in the country with an expired visa.
Officials from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency lodged an immigration detainer with the jail, ordering that Valdiviezo be held for appropriate administrative action at a later date.
