Police: Man Pulls Knife on Driver Who Tried to Pass Him

The Peekskill police arrested a man reported as homeless, 32-year-old Jason Roberts, for second degree menacing, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation, on May 21 at 9:40 a.m. Police report that Roberts was driving on Main Street when he ran out of gas in the roadway. When another driver tried to drive around him, Roberts became agitated, began to shout obscenities and pulled a knife on the other driver. Roberts was taken into custody and the knife used in the offense was recovered. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Buchanan Man Charged with DWI

Peekskill police stopped 56-year-old Buchanan man Steven Bartnik after they observed him operating his vehicle the wrong way on a one way street on May 15 at 8:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Park Street. After further investigation Police Officer Jack Galusha determined that he was operating while intoxicated and arrested him and charged him with driving while intoxicated. In addition, Bartnik was operating with a suspended license. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
