Police: Peekskill Man Made $4,000 in Unauthorized Charges on Company Card

Jose Vargas, 56, of Peekskill, was arrested and charged with grand larceny after he charged more than $4,000 in personal expenses on his company credit card.

A 56-year-old Peekskill Man is scheduled to appear in city court on March 7 after he allegedly made thousands of dollars worth of charges on a company credit card for personal items.

Peekskill city police arrested Jose Vargas and charged him with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police made the arrested on Feb. 12 after his employer charged him with making more than $4,000 in credit card charges for personal items.

The investigation revealed that Vargas had been making the charges for more than a year.

Vargas was arrested, charged and released to reappear in court.
