Putnam Valley Woman Allegedly Stole TV and Cash
The Sheriff's Department arrested a 26-year-old Putnam Valley woman for allegedely stealing from a Lake Peekskill home this past summer.

The following is a press release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction:
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a 26 year-old Putnam Valley resident stemming from her alleged involvement in the theft of a flat screen television set from a Putnam Valley residence.
On August 17, 2011, a Lake Peekskill homeowner called the Sheriff’s Office and reported that her television and cash had been stolen from her home. The case was referred to Investigator Thomas Corless of the Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation. His investigation revealed that Noelle D. Pungello had allegedly stolen the television set and cash. Investigation indicated that she sold the television to a Connecticut pawn shop.

At about 8PM on January 19, 2012, Ms. Pungello was located by a Sheriff’s patrol and investigators while she was a passenger in a vehicle driven on Hollowbrook Road in Putnam Valley. She was taken into custody and charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class “E” felony and Petit Larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor. Ms. Pungello was arraigned before Putnam Valley Town Justice Louis DiCarlo and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 secured bond. She was later released and is due to appear in court on February 2, 2012.
If convicted of the more serious criminal charge, Ms. Pungello may face a jail term for up to four years in a New York State correctional facility as determined by a court.
