School Budget Vote and Election; Picnic for Military; Town Board

Five things you need to know today, May 15.

1.  Vote Today

School board elections and budget votes are today for each Peekskill-Cortladnt School District. Vote from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at for Lakeland School District, for Hen Hud School District and l for Peekskill school district. 2.    Mt. Carmel Society Picnic for Military and Veterans

The Mt. Carmel society is hosting a big picnic for all military families and veterans to thank them for their service this Saturday, May 19. They are still looking for donations to help make the picnic a success. Read more .

3.    Cortlandt Town Board

The Town Board will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m.

4.    Juneteenth 80s Party Fundraiser

The City of Peekskill Juneteenth Heritage Committee will be sponsoring an 80's Party on this Friday, May 18 at the Elks Lodge. Tickets are $20.00 per person, all proceeds will benefit the City of Peekskill's 2nd Annual Juneteenth Parade and Celebration (Saturday, June 16 at 2p.m.). 5. Cheerleading Try Outs
