Thousands of Bicyclists to Ride Through Peekskill Sunday

The Westchester Cycle Club will hold its annual cycling tour, Golden Apple, Sept. 2.

Thanks to City of Peekskill Director of Planning Anthony Ruggiero for sending this information: The Westchester Cycle Club  holds their annual cycling tour, Golden Apple on Sunday, Sept. 2.  This is not a race, but an organized cycling event with various distances from 25 miles and up.

For the first time in Golden Apple history, Peekskill will serve as a "rest/food" stop for the 45, 75 and 100 mile routes. Volunteers and the food stop will be set up at the Gazebo in  starting at 8 am.

It starts in Goldens Bridge at the train station and loops around the county ending back at the starting point.  Then they have music and food/massages available for the riders.  It attracts thousands of riders from all over and it's huge event.
