Tim Fisher, Laura Repicky, Jon Jacoby Honored as Cortlandt’s Employees of the Quarter
The Town of Cortlandt honored three employees at their Tuesday night board meeting.
Supervisor Linda Puglisi and Town Board members honored three town employees and thanked them for their service to the town on May 15: Jon Jacoby, Recreation Supervisor; Tim Fisher, Recreation Supervisor and Laura Repicky, who works for the Supervisor and the Justice Court.
Supervisor Puglisi, Councilman Frank Farrell, Councilman John Sloan and Councilwoman Ann Lindau took turns reading each employees biographies and presented them with certificates.
Director of Recreation, John Palmiotto, said that Fisher and Jacoby "get along wtith everyone," and are a great fit for the recreation department. He noted that they often deal with parents of summer camp kids that have questions or problems and handle both the parents and kids very well.

Puglisi explained that Repicky started her career with an internship at Town Hall in 2005 and has always been a pleasure to work with. Repicky now works in the Supervisor's office and for the Justice Court.

Tim Fisher, Employee of the Quarter, Fourth Quarter 2011
Mr. Tim Fisher began his career with the Town of Cortlandt Government in 2005 as a Recreation Leader in the Department of Recreation and Conservation and was promoted to Recreation Supervisor in 2007. Mr. Fisher’s responsibilities include; overseeing the Town of Cortlandt Youth Basketball Leagues, administration of the travel softball and baseball teams, supervision of the Summer Sports Camps, and overseeing many youth and adult programs as well Cortlandt Family Fun Day. Tim is also known as the official “Tour Guide” for boys and girl scout troops visiting Town Hall. Tim is a graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with a minor in Management and concentration in Sports Management and Coaching.
Tim is an avid Met’s fan and enjoys spending time with his dog Taylor, family and his niece and nephews.
Laura Repicky, Employee of the Quarter, First Quarter 2012
Ms. Laura Repicky began her career with the Town of Cortlandt Government as an intern in the summer of 2005 in the Office of the Town Comptroller. Laura was hired as a fulltime employee effective January 1, 2012 and is currently working in the Office of the Town Supervisor and the Justice Court. While in the Office of the Town Supervisor Laura is responsible for various special events and projects; the Shop Cortlandt/Do Business Week, the Realtor’s Forum, Give and Take Event in April in celebration of Earth Day, 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Ceremony, tree planting dedications and ceremonies and many others. In addition, Laura interacts with residents and departments heads to schedule meetings and to provide information. Laura graduated from SUNY Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2009 and received her paralegal certificate from Westchester Community College in 2011. Laura enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys running and competing in marathons as well as playing softball.
Jon Jacoby, Employee of the Quarter, Fourth Quarter 2011
Mr. Jon Jacoby began his career with the Town of Cortlandt Government in 2000 as a Recreation Specialist in the Department of Recreation and Conservation and is currently a Recreation Supervisor. Jon graduated from Lock Haven State College, Pa. with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education in Physical Education, Health and Recreation. Jon is responsible for the administration of the youth soccer programs, lacrosse leagues, youth summer camps, various youth and adult programs as well as Cortlandt Family Fun Day.
Jon and his wife Patricia are both life long Cortlandt residents. They have two sons; Jeffrey, a financial advisor for Ameriprise is married and lives in Easton, Pa. Jason, a graduate of New Paltz, is an aspiring actor living in Brooklyn, NY.
Jon is also an avid Yankees fan.
