MONTROSE, NY — The Hendrick Hudson School District proposed an $86.6 million budget for the 2022-23 school year, and the voters will go to the polls May 17 to decide whether to approve it.

The spending plan represents a 2.8 percent budget-to-budget increase, according to the district.

The 2022-23 school year is the second in which the district qualifies for the Electric Generation Cessation Fund, which was established by the state to reduce community impact when a power plant closes. The district will receive $15.4 million for 2022-23, compared with $8.4 million for the previous year.
