What Did You Read Every Month on Patch?
As we embark on 2012, take a look at what stories you read the most in 2011.
Peekskill-Cortlandt Patch covers everything from Santa’s visit to Buchanan’s village circle to Indian Point’s reaction to the Fukushima disaster. In 2011, crime stories were our top stories almost every month. In July, people read about a Cortlandt resident’s attempt to turn his backyard in to a farm more than any other article. In March, when an MSNBC article was released claiming that Indian Point was ranked the highest quake risk in the county (which was later proved inaccurate by the NRC), not surprisingly, that was our top story. Take a look at the full list below. Â

Editor's note: The federal government never announced that Indian Point was the highest quake risk in the U.S. MSNBC reported this ranking. The article has been changed to reflect that. Patch regrets the error.Â
