A Pop Warner football coach wants to take advantage of the unused school's athletic facilities.

A Pop Warner football coach is anxious to put the empty school to use for youth activities. At Monday night’s City Council meeting, where he asked the council for more support in general, the coach explained the many uses he sees in Uriah Hill.

The mayor said that the city is working with the school district to see what terms and conditions would be acceptable to the district as the city tries to forge a partnership with it. “All volunteers that want to hold programs are (welcome to come forward),” the mayor said.
