City Manager Resigns, Win $100,000 for Your School, Assemblywoman Galef in Peekskill
Here are five things you need to know today, Dec. 5.

1. City Manager Rick Finn Resigns
Late Friday night Mayor Foster sent an email announcing that the City Council has accepted City Manager Rick Finn's resignation. The Council will hold a special meeting tonight to accept Finn's resignation through a resolution. His resignation letter is dated Dec. 2 and is effective Dec. 31, according to the resolution. 3.   Cortlandt Town Board Budget Meeting
The Cortlandt Town Board will hold a public hearing on the 2012 budget at 7 p.m.
4.   Peekskill Committee of the Whole
The COW will meet at tonight to discuss several agenda items, but the meeting will begin with a presentation from Assemblywoman Sandy Galef at 6:30 p.m.

5.   Hold on to the Dream: Workshop to Educate & Empower Homeowners
The workshop will be held at the Neighborhood Center on Nelson Ave. at 7 p.m.
