1.) Winter Parking Rules Remain in Effect for Peekskill

City of Peekskill winter parking rules are still in effect. Check bad for updates as they become available.

2.) WORDPLAY: Teen Poetry Workshops at the Field Library

The Field Library in Peekskill will host "WORDPLAY," a poetry workshop for middle and high schoolers, today at 3:30 p.m. Today’s session will be the second of 4 creative workshops culminating with an open mic performance ,where participants can share their creations with an intimate audience. Each workshop provides guidance in expression, introspection, public speaking, constructive criticism, editing, and teamwork and is a supportive community and a place to receive feedback and new ideas. 4.) Hen Hud Leos Stay Awake-A-Thon Team Captains Meeting

The next Hen Hud Leo’s Stay Awake-A-Thon Team Captains meeting is tonight. The meeting will be held at 7:30pm in Hendrick Hudson High School room 109. On the Agenda for the night is the “Fun” in Fundraising. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting. Team captains who cannot attend are asked  to send a representative from their team. This year's goal is to organize  40 teams and raise $70,000. There are currently 20 teams registered.

5.) Hudson Valley Hospital Center Hosts Talk on Colorectal Cancer

Dr. Herman B. Kleinbaum will speak on prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer today at 6 p.m., inside the Hudson Valley Hospital Center, located at 1980 Crompond Rd. in  Cortlandt Manor.
