Treat yourself or your kids to some creative exploration this summer with exciting Week-long Creative "Camp" workshops or summer art classes. Whether you are ready to jump right in, or just test the waters, we have classes for all ages and skill levels. Check us out online to view a full catalog of our summer offerings; from traditional painting, drawing and clay to digital media. Our youth Summer “Camps” run Monday through Friday; mornings, afternoons or both. Week 1kicks off on Monday, June 24th. Each following week offers inspiring, unique arts activities. You can choose all, or some, of the seven week-long sessions throughout the summer. And while your kids are having fun, they are also improving social and motor skills, personal expression and visual communication. Statistics show that children involved in the arts improve academically! PAC instructors are great teachers, as well as professional artists in their associated mediums – so inspiring children, youth and adults alike comes naturally. Some examples of classes:
Animation & ClaymationIn this week-long class, youth will cross from the traditional realm into the digital, then back again. They will learn techniques for manipulating clay, as well as the technical aspects of production and storytelling; from camera set-up to gaining an understanding of software like iStopMotion.
Digital PhotographyFor adults and high school age: Beginner? Then this is the class for you! Learn the fundamentals of your digital SLR camera: shutter speeds, lens exposure and light metering. Learn how to navigate the digital photography world and use software like Adobe Photoshop.
Popular youth classes include:Pottery & Wheel Throwing, Film, Pottery & Sculpture, Cartooning, Painting, Drawing and Mixed Media. Wednesday Pre-K offers fun arts activities for little ones 3 ½ and up.
Fun new courses includeGame Design, Industrial Design and Zoo Drawing. Popular continuing courses for adults include:Portrait Painting, Pottery, Digital Photography, Drawing and Painting, and Drawing for Beginners, just to name a few.
