Pelham Resident Presents Research Findings at National Conference

Ryan Cerbone traveled to the UNC Asheville to present undergraduate research in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research.

Ryan Cerbone of Pelham (10803) traveled to the University of North Carolina, Asheville to present undergraduate research in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), April 7-9.

Cerbone, class of 2017, was among 17 students from Lafayette College selected to participate in the NCUR, which had approximately 2,000 other undergraduates travel from 250 different colleges and universities to present research findings. This is the 29th year that Lafayette has participated in this conference, with more than 750 students presenting their research findings in previous years.

Students worked with faculty members through the College's honor thesis, independent study, or EXCEL Scholars undergraduate research programs. Lafayette's focus on close student-faculty interaction has made it a national leader in undergraduate research. Many of the hundreds of students who participate in these programs each year publish their work in academic journals and present at regional and national conferences
