Mid-Island Y JCC

Nassau County residents are invited to gather in solidarity and community at the “Shine a Light on Antisemitism” Menorah Lighting on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Mid Island Y JCC. The outdoor community event will feature the Hankin Family Menorah Lighting along with music, entertainment, and giveaways designed to bring the community together in a powerful show of unity.
The program aims to send a strong message against hate while celebrating the message of light and resilience that the Chanukah holiday represents. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their friends and families to take part in an evening dedicated to standing together, supporting one another, and showing that the local community stands firmly against antisemitism.
The event is being presented in partnership with numerous Nassau County synagogues and Jewish organizations, reflecting a broad community effort to promote understanding, safety, and solidarity. All members of the community are welcome to attend and participate in this meaningful gathering.

We’re Dragonfly Cares, a group of providers offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Speech-Language Therapy across Long Island. Our goal is to support children as well as the caregivers around them, while emphasizing community engagement and transparency. Our goal from the start has been to create a supportive network and uplifting environment for the families and therapists we work with. No more one-size fits all models, we provide more and always will. Each group is led by a BCBA and includes 1:1 support from a trained behavior technician. Groups are thoughtfully formed based on each child’s individual needs and skill sets. It’s a wonderful opportunity for your child to build social skills, communication, and more—all in a fun and supportive environment!
