1970 Pleasantville HS Alums Plan to Give Back
Joseph and Justine Racioppo to build flower-filled planting beds in front of the high school entrance.
Two Pleasantville High School alumni are planning to spruce up the campus.
"Back in September, I had planned one of the first multi-year class reunions for this high school," said Justine Racioppo-Bruno at a February board of education meeting. "It took place in Tarrytown at the Doubletree [Hotel]. It was a tremendous success. The classes went from '68 to '77."
Racioppio-Bruno said her twin brother Joseph set up a table at that reunion to memorialize alumni who have passed away.

Joseph Racioppo said the goal is to keep the plantings simple and easy to maintain.
"We are going to try and keep it as pleasant as we can," he shared.
The two said they plan to start extracting soil on the property and laying down a foundation for the 18-inch beds right after graduation in June and then begin planting around October.
"We will add lots of nice flowers," Racioppo said.
