3 Hospitalized After Car Lost Control in Pleasantville
Two vehicles collided on Bedford Road near the New Castle border Friday evening.
Police are continuing to investigate a two-car accident that occurred in Pleasantville Friday afternoon, leading to road closures and backed up holiday weekend traffic on the busy Bedford Road.
According to Pleasantville Police, the department was notified of the accident at 4:24 p.m.
Police said it appears one vehicle driving on the road lost control and slid into the opposite lane, near the intersection of Pierce Drive. Another car coming around the curve struck the vehicle's side, causing it to flip over.

Both drivers and a passenger were transported to the hospital following the accident. It does not appear that their injuries were life-threatening.
Police did not release any additional information about the parties involved in the crash.

The roadway was closed for several hours following the accident, causing traffic build up in the area, and cleared by approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday night.
Police said given the nature of the accident, Westchester County Police are investigating further.
