Astorino Kicks Off Restaurant Week in Westchester

The County Executive learned how to shuck oysters at a Rye restaurant as the two-week event kicked off.

County Executive Rob Astorino kicked off the annual Hudson Valley Restaurant Week at Morgan’s Fish Hous  in Rye on Monday, March 11. Morgan's Chef Greg McDowell taught the county executive how to properly shuck oysters. Morgan's owners Jim Sullivan and Lisa McKiernan also joined in the fun.

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week showcases farm-to-table, sustainable products at more than 185 restaurants across seven counties—making it one of the largest Restaurant Week events in the country. The event runs until March 24.
