BMEF Preps Red Carpet for Annual Fundraiser
The Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation's biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up April 19.

The Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation (BMEF) is planning a Hollywood-style fete this year as its annual fundraising event.
Each spring, the education-focused foundation throws a fundraiser to help supplement the donations it receives year-round to fund grants for the district's three schools.
"Attending the spring event is a wonderful way to support our schools and enjoy a evening in our community,” said BMEF Co-Presidents Liz Susman Karp and Maura Bohan said in a statement. "The BMEF has made valuable contributions to our strong school district and we look forward to continuing that partnership."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Board and always felt that the foundation truly made a difference for our children and teachers," McVeigh said in a statement. "We were one of the earliest foundations to be formed in Westchester and we were fortunate enough to achieve early success. It has been interesting to see how district needs have changed over the years."
McVeigh, whose children are now 24 and 20, reflected, "At our inception, technology was not at the forefront; grant requests were very different than they are today. I credit the Board, past and present, for recognizing the changing needs and responding to them by staying true to our mission and approving grants that have really made a difference. We are fortunate, as a community, to have such a high-ranking school district and one that serves us so well."
The theme of this year's event is Hollywood and will feature dancing, dining and silent and live auctions. Tickets for the fundraiser are $175 each and can be purchased in advance here.
