A game called 10 Ball Capture.
The game, according to physical education teacher Michelle Hiltsley, has been played at Todd School for many years and involves playing with multiple types of balls.

In the game, which is played only by third, fourth and fifth graders, students are divided into two teams. They have their home side and their opponent side, with each side also including a safety zone where students cannot be tagged.
The game set up is two goals, with five balls of different type in each goal. Students must try to capture all 10 of the balls onto their side to win the game.
To do that, they have to either cross the center line or leave the safety zone and try to get through the opponent’s territory without being tagged by students from the other team.
A student who gets tagged becomes “frozen” and the team must try to get them “unfrozen.”
“Fifth graders are allowed to pass the ball to their teammates to make complete passes back to their home territory,” Ms. Hiltsely said. “There is a lot of running involved in this game, which is why we only play it outside – students need the place to run. There is also a lot of teamwork and cooperation involved.”
CJ, a fifth grader, has been playing 10 Ball Capture since he moved to the district in third grade.
“My favorite part is passing the ball and running with my friends,” he said. “It’s cool, it’s like football. It’s one of my top five activities in P.E.”
