Briarcliff High School Ranks among Nation's Most Challenging

The school earned a ranking of 44 statewide, based on an index formula.

The Washington Post has recognized Briarcliff High School as being one of America’s most challenging high schools for 2016.

The school earned a ranking of 44 statewide, based on an index formula – the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at the school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated. Among Briarcliff High School’s offerings are 138 courses, 34 college accredited courses, 12 honors courses and a three-year science research program. In addition, the school has a four-year graduate rate of 100 percent.
