Vescio Re-Elected: Briarcliff Manor's Village Election Results

Vescio wins mayoral race over challenger Morris; two trustees and new village justice elected into office.

Residents hit the polls after a late winter snowstorm today in Briarcliff Manor to choos a mayor, two trustees and village justice.

A total of 442 residents voted today, according to Village Clerk Christine Dennett.

Reached for comment Tuesday night, Mayor William Vescio simply said of the election, "It's over. It's done."

Now it's back to work for the eight-year mayor.

"We will continue to look out for the village and exercise our fiduciary responsibility...and work on maintaining our quality of services," Vescio said.

Mayor

Laura Morris (Briarcliff) — 130

William Vescio* (People's Caucus) — 332

+ one write-in candidate

Trustees

Lori Sullivan (People's Caucus) — 407

Mark Wilson (People's Caucus) — 411

All village board positions are two-year terms.

Sullivan and Wilson join Trustees Robert Murray and Mark Pohar, who were elected to the board last year.

Justice

Howard Code (People's Caucus) — 433

The village justice position is a four-year term.
