Briarcliff Recognizes Board of Education
The board was thanked by district leaders ahead of School Board Recognition Week.

Representatives from the Briarcliff Teachers’ Association and Briarcliff Parent Teacher Association joined Superintendent of Schools Dr. James Kaishian in thanking the board of education for their service and commitment to the district in collaboration with the New York State School Boards Association’s School Board Recognition Week, which runs Oct. 24-28.
Briarcliff’s Board was recognized formally during its Oct. 17 regular meeting. Members of the board were welcomed into the meeting by 11 th -grader Michael Gorlin, who delighted attendees by performing on his saxophone, before BTA and BPTA officers offered their thanks.

“We have a warm appreciation for everything the school board does on behalf of our school district. Thank you for your support,” Dr. Kaishian told the board members. He added to the community, “This is a very discerning board of education and they want to make sure we are doing things correctly.”
